You might remember several posts ago I posted about the esteemed macaron maker in Paris, Ladurée. Well, they are set to launch their cosmetics collection.

Following the success of its beauty line launched in 2007, the range including creams, home fragrances and candles. The face and body creams were made using almonds, a vital ingredient in macaroons.

The new make-up range called Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée or The Wonders of Ladurée. 

Created by Japanese make-up manufacturer Albion, the collection will feature liquid foundation, lip colour, as well as 20 different blush colours in the form of cameos, inspired by the pastel shades of Ladurée’s macaroons. 

The packaging for Ladurée macarons is divine but the packaging of their cosmetics, however, is c'est magnifique!

Separated at Birth? Mor Cosmetics and Ladurée

I was wandering through the department store today and some packaging caught my eye. There is a striking similarity between Australia's famed Mor Cosmetics and the even more famous french brand Ladurée.

Stylish Ladurée of Paris

 

Ladurée is a luxury brand of cakes and  pastries, known for the double layered macaron, fifteen thousand of which are sold every day.

 

Ladurée made the pastries for the film Marie Antoinette, directed by Sofia Coppola; its famous macarons can be seen in a scene between Marie-Antoinette and Ambassador Mercy.

The flagship tea rooms are located on Ladurée Champs Elysées and there are numerous locations across France and worldwide.
